OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Irregular and heavy bleeding can be due to any pathology in the uterus or due to hormonal disturbances like hypothyroidism.
Yo should get a endometrial biopsy done to rule out any endometrial hyperplasia or carcinoma, and a pap smear to rule out any cervical cancer.
Utovlan is the treatment for hormonal disturbances in endometrium, and should be taken only once these pathologies are ruled out.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
