Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

I am 31, female, have had 4 kids, have had hypothyroidism for 12 years now, in the last 2 years I have had trouble with my thyroid. I was on 200mcg of thyroxine in January 11 and had a blood test saying it was over active, had a test 6 weeks later after dropping to 150mcg and they said it was perfect. Had a routine thyroid test last week after losing 30kg (had lap band surgery 6 weeks ago) and came back even more overactive than back in January before I had even started to lose weight. Have you got any idea what might be causing this?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.

You have hypothyroidism and you need thyroxin. But your thyroxin dosage is at higher side and you still need to decrease the dosage.

Because high dosage leads to drug induces hyperthyroidism and you loose the weight.

Set the low dosages and repeat the T3, T4 and TSH after 6 weeks and plan further accordingly.

It is prescription based medicine so consult your treating doctor and reduce the dosage according to his advice only.

Hope I have answered your question. if you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
