Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism

My mother has got her daignosed for thyroid stimulating hormone and the results are 0.01 but it should be in 0.49 -4.67. She was taking medicine for hypo thyroid and was takimg medicine since 1991. She is at present 60 by age. Please suggest immediately to proceed futher with consultancy or any first aid so that it could be increased immediatly.

Hello... TSH(Thyroid stimulating hormone) value of 0.01 indiactes excess of thyroid hormone ingestion/secretion. If she is taking treatment for hypothyroidism with thyroxine supplementation, it would be necessary to reduce the dose of thyroxine. i would suggest you to get free T4 levels and reduce the dose of thyroxine accordingly with help of physician/endocrinologist.
