Suggest Treatment For Hypothyroidism And Insomnia

I have hypothyroidism and take medication for it. But I am excessively tired. I also have aching all over but more so in my arms and legs. I ve noticed a marked weakness in my arms. I m also getting clumsy and bumping into things. Sometimes balance is an issue. I have insomnia even though I take medication to help with sleep - only get about 2 hours a night. I ve always had migraines and they are worse rather than better as I get older. I am 56 years old. I can t remember things from one minute to the next. All of this has been happening since November and has been getting progressively worse. I have been and am under a lot of stress both at work and at home. My stress level has been extremely high for the past 5 years. I m not sure what is wrong or if it s nothing to worry about.

Hi dear user
Thank you for using HCM.

Your have a lot of symptoms of hypothyroidism(tiredness, weakness, insomnia, amnesia).I suggest to do the thyroid tests (TSH , freeT3 and freeT4)because it is possible that your actual dose of Levothyroxine(the medication of hypothyroidism) is nor sufficient.

Your doctor will know about this.I m sure that the dose adjustment of levothyroxine will make you feel better.

Anyway my advice is to consult a neurologist for the problem with your balance, for the problem of amnesia and for the problem of migranes.

Wish you good health.
