Will Medical Marijuana Treat Hypothyroidism And Insomnia?
I do use medical marijuana for insomnia and have recently been diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. After reading some of the symptoms of Hypothyroidism, one being insomnia, I am wondering if starting my medication for the disease might cure my insonmnia problem. the other concern being, if marijuana may have a negative reaction to this Hypothiroidism treatment. In either case, I don t want to go back to the place where I cannot sleep.

Insomnia generally is related to hyperthyroidism. Anyway, even Hypothyroidism can cause sleep problems.
Some people with hypothyroidism will experience insomnia. Starting the treatment for hypothyroidism can normalize your hypothyroid symptoms and cure your insomnia if hypothyroidism is the root cause.
You will know if your insomnia and low thyroid are related when your TSH test will be within the range.
Medical use of marijuana has not a negative reaction to Hypothyroidism and his treatment. So, you can use it if your treating doc has recommended this drug for your insomnia.
