Suggest Treatment For Hemorrhoids During Pregnancy
i am a 30 weeks pregnant and i have a severe problem of hemorrhoids so my genycologue told me take 2 pills of dafflon 500 every 8 hours and after 3 days 2 pills in the morning and 2 pills at night . i just wants to ask if it is safe to take likle this dosage for a pregnant in this stage of pregnancy and if it is safe for the foetus hope to hear from you very soon thank you
I understand your concern. The pressure of the fetus on the anal canal causes the engorgement of the veins in that area, thus leading to hemorrhoids. There are no known counter indications for dafflon in pregnancy and the doses your doctor has recommended are reasonable.
However, there are doctors who avoid prescribing it, unless strictly necessary. If you are not comfortable with the prescribed dose, you and reduce it in hald, increase fiber in your diet and hydration, and practice sitz baths in warm water for short periods of time many times during the day. Additionally, anal pads soaked in witch hazel can provide great immediate relief and resolution.
I hope this helps. Wishing you good health and all the best.
