Suggest Treatment For Heavy Vaginal Bleeding And Lower Abdominal Cramps
Im 20 years old, female, 5ft 140 lbs. For the past few days I have been bleeding but Im on birth control (have been for many years) and I m not on my period or close to getting it. Along with the bleeding I have cramps in my lower abdomen. I read many things, Im not sure if I should seek medical attention or not. What could this be? Thanks. (no relevant past medical history)
HI, Welcome to HCM, I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.
According to details it can be the side effect of your birh control pills which you are taking since long time. For heavy vaginal bleeding and cramps you can take Tranexamic acid 500mg twice a day for 5 days along with mefenamic acid 500mg twice a day. it will give you symptomatic relieve. After that i will advise you to go for Pelvic Ultrasound to rule out the cause.
Hope so it will be helpful. You can write again in case of any query or follow up. Wish you good health. Regards
