Suggest Treatment For Heavy Periods Post Mirena Withdrawal

I had my Merino out on the 22nd. Today while I was shopping, I had a fresh pad on. All all once it felt like I messed myself. It just came out of me. When I went to the ladies, my Always( Pink, Maxi) was full of blood. When I wiped an avocado sized clot attached to a rope of clot about 1.5 inches thick and a Roma tomato size clot on the other end came out.
I bought 3 Always Maxi packs(pink pads, a purple overnight pack, 2 Advil liqui-gel bottles, (one pm). A Midol. A huge pack of incontinent wiped. Went to GNC and got Womens' Vitamin packs and a 7 days cleanse.
I am traveling for work all the time, but I have very good insurance.
Is this dangerous or normal? It was a huge long clot.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Heavy menstrual bleeding with clots are very common after Mirena removal. It is nothing to be worried about. The bleeding will reduce after few cycles. If the bleeding is too bothersome, please be advised to follow up with your ObGyn to get a prescription for Tranexamic acid to control the bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query.
