Suggest Treatment For Headache, Nasal Congestion And Sore Throat

I have had a sore throat for 4 days. During that time I ran a fever, had bad headache and congestion. Everything has now cleared up but the sore throat. Lozenges don t help and even Advil does not relieve the cutting feeling when I swallow. Should I go to my Dr.?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of headache, nasal congestion and sore throat which seems to be due to granular pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination. Doctor may examine completely and perform blood test as well. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics along with nasal decongestants. You should take ibuprofen or paracetamol for pain and swelling . Give throat proper rest. Avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. Avoid cold beverages.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best wishes,
