Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto's Thyroiditis

Hello,

I have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis and am taking Nature Thyroid. How can I ever expect to feel well again if my phyician fails to realise the importance of addressing the root cause of my malfunctioning immune system? Please suggest how to approach her regarding this.

Thank you.

Hi,

Your doubt is genuine. But the problem is
1. We cannot selectively decrease the immune reaction against thyroid. We can just suppress the immune system altogether - which is harmful for you.
2. The already established damage cannot be reverted back to normal by suppressing the immune system.

Don't worry, Thyroxine supplementation - natural or synthetic - is relatively free of side effects comparing to any other modern medicine. Why should we go for less effective, harmful and expensive immunosuppressants when we have more effective, cheap and harmless thyroxine?

Be healthy

Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
