Suggest Treatment For Hamstring Tightness And Leg Pain

My left hamstring has been very tight the last few weeks. Yesterday after jogging I was walking downstairs and my leg totally gave out on me. My leg currently is very painful and burning from what feels like the middle of my gluteus, down the back of my leg to my knee, kind of wrapping around the left to the front of my knee,the back of my knee is slightly swollen. I had ACL surgery 6 years ago, never had any trouble with the reconstructed knee. I jog 2x a week, do pilates 1x week, walk every day.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
I have read your description and understand your concern.
Hamstring tightness and leg pain what you are experiencing is due to muscle spasms which could have been caused due to jogging.
Kindly apply ice packs on the region to make the muscles relaxed. Also you need to take medication containing Diclofenac with muscle relaxant like Chloroxazone twice a day after food. Apply analgesic ointment or gel over the affected part at bedtime.
Kindly take Oral Rehydration Solution regularly to replenish electrolytes and Vitamin E capsules to impart antioxidant effect to the muscles.
Kindly give adequate rest to the part and gradually start your exercise again after overcoming the problem completely.
