Suggest Treatment For Hair Loss And Regrowth Of Hair

Hello Dr. Andrew,
I am a male and I am 22 yrs old. It has been almost five months since I have moved to Maryville, Missouri. What I noticed is that my hairline was thining and I have a bald spot. It is not that I keep my hair in the best condition but the water in Maryville seems to be the cause of hairfall. I asked people about it and many people said that water in Maryville will damage your hair. I am moving out of Maryville now and what I want to ask is: WIll my lost hair grow back after I move? I do not think the hairfall is genetic because my dad is almost 50 and still has many of his hair. What can I do to stop my hairfall? I am really upset because of it and it would be really good if you could have some answers for me.

Thanking you,
Sanna Khadka

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms o hair loss and you want to regrow your hairs. As per your complain hair loss can occur due to causes like long standing illness, nutritional deficiency, excessive stress, hormonal imbalances, and fungal infection of scalp. need not to worry. I would suggest you to take supplements containing zinc, selenium, iron, calcium and also multivitamin tablets daily. You should use Finasteride preparations. You should massage your scalp with olive oil and give steam. Use mild shampoo every alternate day to maintain clean scalp and hairs. Take a nutritious diet and plenty of fluids. If symptoms keeps on persisting consult Trichologist/ dermatologist and get evaluated and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain in case if you have gradual thinning of the hair along with patchy hairloss or an apparent bald spot it is most probably be due to Androgenic Aloepecia or Male Pattern Baldness that is due to hormonal causes as well as genetic..
Other causes can be nutritional deficiency, stress, long standing illness, side effect of certain medications, chemicals etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Trichologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation, medical history, blood investigations, and Dermoscopy and Trichogram can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
You can be advised to apply 5% Minoxidil solution over the scalp..
You can be advised to take Biotin and multivitamin supplements..
In case of Androgenic Alopecia you can be advised to take Finesteride that will suppress hormones and prevent hairfall..
Take more of green leafy vegetables and fruits..
Do warm coconut oil massage over the scalp..
Drink plenty of water..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
