Suggest Treatment For Fluid Accumulation In The Ear And Clogged Sinuses

I have fluid inside my left ear and my sinuses on the left side are clogged. I visited an ENT and after prescribing sulfa drugs it is still present. I have been using Zytec, Mucinex, Flonase and Azelastine Spray. Still no results. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Fluid accumulation and clogged ears may be due to infection or eustachian tube block or tonsils enlargement etc.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet Sinarest. You may need to take antibiotics like Amoxiclav.

Avoid cool drinks and cold water, smoking and caffeine drinks. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

If symptoms not improved please get tympanogram to know the middle ear fluid then consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
