Suggest Treatment For Flesh Colored Bump On Thigh
Hi, I have a small, flesh colored bump on my inner thigh. it comes and goes, sometimes growing to the size of a nickle, other times just a tiny dot. It only itches if i touch it, and on occasion it has a white spot in the middle. I haven t been bitten by anything recently, and it has occurred almost monthly for the last 3 years. I am wondering what this is? I have gone to doctors before, but the bump is never there by the time my appointment comes along. A little history, same partner for the last 8 years, never any stds, I have had ovarian cysts before, I ve never been pregnant, I don t drink nor do i smoke.

Hi there,
The small, flesh colored bump on inner thigh might be infected hair root. It can grow sometimes with white spot and disappear on its own.
I advise to:
- get it cleaned locally with warm water and soap
- apply iodine 10%
- avoid shaving the hair at that area
- wax is recommended method for depilation
I have had some of my patients with the same problems as yours, and they have reported increased size of bump prior to initiation of periods. Hormonal changes can also affect it.
I also advise to go to ER once you notice the bump with white dot. You might need deep cleaning or should check for fistulas too.
