General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Based on the ultrasound report you have posted, the following things are evident from it.
1. Uterus size, shape and echo-texture is normal, except for a mass called 'fibroid' is present.
2. Both ovaries are normal except that it is showing multiple cysts suggestive of polycystic ovary.
3. Uterine lining called endometrium is normal.
4. No free fluid in peritoneal cavity is suggestive that there is no active infection or inflammation of the pelvic organs.
To overcome the problem of fibroid, you need to undergo its removal by means of surgery after clinical evaluation.
In case you have problems associated with polycyctic ovarian disease (PCOD), you may need medications such as birth control pills to regulate menstrual cycle and clomifene and metformin for ovulation induction.
Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
