Suggest Treatment For Fever,fatigue,cough And Nasal Congestion
I went to my Dr today because I was experiencing sore painful throat pain I had fever fatigue syndrome coughing and stuffy nose. Last week I kept my 23month old grandson Who was treated for similar symptoms . Dr office took rapid strep test which was neg. PA dx. With pharyngitis This is the most painful that I ve ever had... I m gargling with warm salt and water Taking Tylenol and she gave me an antibiotic ... My throat really hurts I don t have tonsils So what else should I do? This is extremely uncomfortable should I go see an ent Dr?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever,fatigue,cough and nasal congestion which is due to upper respiratory tract infection and viral pharyngitis. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take few preventive measures such as you should take diet rich in vitamin B12 along with cough expectorants. You should take anti inflammatory medication such as Levocetirizine along with antibiotics such as Levofloxacin or Azithromycin for 5-7 days. Visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get blood test done along with x ray of the chest and pulmonary function tests done as well. You should use throat lozenges and go rinses with warm saline water. Avoid cold carbonated beverages.
