Hi, my husband recently switched from metoprolol to lisinopril hctz (25 mg), His bp was never really high, (140/90) whenever he saw doctor, but closer to 130/85 at home. His resting pulse, after many years of exercise was finally down to 70-75. He had a triple bypass in 2009, and toprol was originally given to make the heart not have to work so hard. He has been on lisinopril hctz for a couple of months now, and because he likes to golf, and because it has been a very hot summer, he comes home and his bp is around 80/52 and his pulse is close to 100bpm. He drinks plenty of water, is used to lots of exercise, so we are wondering if cutting the dose in half is advised, at least until he can get in to see his doctor. What do you think? Thanks YYYY@YYYY
