Suggest Treatment For Eye Infection While On Trimethoprim

I have an eye infection i think caused by ocean water. it started with what lokied like a stye on my lower lid. It was itchy and draining yeloow pus. i was perscribed poly myxin B sulfate with trimethoprim drops 3x daily. the drops were effective for only 3 days then symptoms came back worse and now in both eyes and i have stye/ cyst like bumos on my inner lid now. What other type of drops or anbx would be effective? also no other family have caught this. I dont think its contagious

I really appreciate your concern, if the initial treatment fails to work as long as the eye condition is concern then it may not be the bacterial infection but it could be allergic condition and sty could be another thing it is advisable to try antihistamine but most advisable to see the ophthalmologist hope this information helps.
