Suggest Treatment For Endometriosis For A 28-year-old
hi my name is teah i am 28 years and i had stage three endometriosis four months ago i had it removed and the dr told me i was to Yong to have my overys removed now the pain has came back and not want any more kids what can i do to get my doctor to take my overys out
Removing the ovaries was previously considered an effective treatment for endometriosis. Recently, doctors are going away from this method of treatment as it may cause early menopause and the related health issues it may cause (problems with the bones, flushes, emotional changes, heart problems, weight gain, etc).
There are other effective treatments for endometriosis such as oral contraception, Mirena IUD, aromatase inhibitors, antiinflammatory drugs, etc.
I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General and Family Physician
