General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The E. Coli is the usual causative pathogen for the urinary tract infection in adult females.
* There is nothing to be much serious about, but you must follow the detailed advises of your gynec for avoiding future issues secondary to this.
* Apart from culture-specific antibiotics, supportive care with plenty of liquids, urinary alkaliser as potassium citrate, vitamin c intake, avoidance of vaginal sex and douches are the best way to heal the condition in best possible way.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
