Hi,

There are a few medicines available which can reduce the craving for cannabis but just taking these medicines will not solve the problem, especially in someone who has been on cannabis for so long. First of all, find out if he wishes to quit or not. If he doesn't, it will not be easy for you to help him. Once he is ready to quit, take him to a good psychiatrist who can assess for any other conditions that may be contributing to his cannabis use. Proper treatment can make a difference.

Best wishes.
