General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It looks like you are suffering from complications after tympanoplasty surgery. Serum discharge from the ear commonly occurs due to infection, failure of the graft to heal, narrowing or recurrent eardrum perforation.

Scarring or adhesion cause infection & perilymph fistula. You are suggested to get a follow up clinical examination by your treating ENT specialist. Get all the required Blood & Imaging tests done, get treated.

You may need oral or intravenous antibiotics for faster healing. You may need a correction surgery. Your treatment will depend on the severity of the pathology detected. Neglect may lead to worsening of the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
