Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

I can understand your problem. Your symptoms got worsened after hysterectomy because a lot of hormonal deficit occurs and this worsens the depression. In such case there are two options which can help-

- One is hormone replacement therapy for short term. This would help to reduce depressive symptoms to such extent. But the choice of starting the therapy depends upon the opinion of a gynaecologist.

- Other option is to consult a psychiatrist for proper evaluation and treatment. Medicines of SNRI antidepressant class help to reduce the symptoms of depression and will calm you. Visit a psychiatrist for prescription.

Thanks, hope this helps you. Take Care
