Suggest Treatment For Dead Cell On Bottom Of Foot Due To Diabetes

My husband is a diabetic and recently his foot dr saw him and diagnosed him with "a dead cell" on bottom of foot and suggested at home treatment of lightly filing it with an Emory board. He does this but it keeps coming back. Is there any other treatment?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this dead cell. This is a not a typical medical ter and i guess he wants to talk of diabetic foot. Treatment rotates around a tight blood glucose management as well as wound care. also, he should see podiatrist for adapted wear. Often inspect the feet at hoe to make sure there is no ongoing silent information. This would greatly help to prevent the infectious complications liked to diabetes that often leads to amputation.

I hope this addresses your query fully. Thank you so much for patronizing our services and please do feel free to ask for follow up clarifications and information if need be. I wish you the best of health.
