Hello I had gone through your question and I can understand your concern this could be an allergic reaction or infection either viral or bacterial I see such patients in my clinic after clinical examination I advise them for few tests like blood for CBC ESR AEC (absolute eosinophil count) sputum culture test You may require a course of antibiotics under supervision of your doctor You can do steam inhalation and gargling with warm saline water you can use anti inflammatory nasal spare like fluticasone spray hope this helps you best wishes
