Suggest Treatment For Cough And Cold In A Child

My child who is 4 months old ageis suffering from cough n cold.Doctor advised me to give her opox CV 100.But after giving it she suffers from loose motion.I wanted to know is this medicine responsible for causing loose motion.Can I give her sporlac to control loose motion?

Opox CV may be one of the cause of loose motion. Loose motion may be due to the infection also. Many a times cough and loose stool both occur simultaneously. Give her ORS to prevent dehydration. You can use sporolac too as it will help in both antibiotic induced and infective diarrhea.
If loose stool persists, there is poor oral acceptance or decreased urine output consult your physician immediately.
