Hello and welcome to HCM,
Trauma to the elbow can lead to
injury to the bone and soft tissues.
Soft tissues includes skin, muscles, nerves and blood vessels.
The X-ray has ruled out any
bone fracture.
Injury to soft tissue can cause internal injury and bleeding leading to
hematoma formation.
In addition,
numbness and pain during elevation of the upper limb is suggestive of injury to the nerve(s).
A clinical assessment by an orthopedician to assess the nerve function is required.
Nerve can be compressed or injured during injury.
Most of the nerve injuries recover by regeneration.
In the meanwhile you can take pain killer and
muscle relaxant to relieve the pain.
Consult your orthopedician for clinical assessment, investigations, prescription of painkiller-muscle relaxant and thus management.
Thanks and take care
