Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Blood In Stool

Nov.2010. My problem now is why every month Im experiencing constipation and sometimes my hemorrhoids got a fresh blood in the stool. The doctors advise me to take a colonoscopy, but I ask him if I can try to take a self medication first. Please help me what should I do. Thanks

Hi,

You need multi-pronged approach for that. Have vegetable based diet,reduce consumption of meat based products,take light exercise.plenty of liquids to be taken daily.

Blood in stools needs to be investigated if it is a continuous finding. Report to emergency room for further evaluation to find the cause of bleeding and accordingly it can be treated.
