Suggest Treatment For Constipation And Abdominal Bloating

Hi, I have been constipated for nearly 3 weeks, my abdomen is feeling very bloated and uncomfortable. I went to the dr today after trying drinking heaps of water ( just made me get up about 4 times at night to pee), more exercise, more fibre, my dr gave me Miclotte enema which I have tried twice and all that happens is straining, burning and some gel like stuff. I have a history of Ovarian cancer (5 years ago) and stopped smoking 6 weeks ago. Thanks for your time. Nerina

Hi. Thanks for your question. I will need more history to be able to be sure of what is causing this. However from my experience i have found Helicobacter pylori infection to be one of the commonest causes of abdominal bloating discomfort. I will advice you do a test to check that and follow up a visit with your physician
