I have had a cold runny nose mucus cough for five days headaches and general just felt ill for the last two I feel extremely hot but my body temp is 36celsius, I am a breast feeding mum of a six week old and my health is of concern as I am gradually feeling worse even though the head cold symptoms are dissipating
Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of cold, runny nose, cough and headache which is due to severe upper respiratory infection and it could be due to sinus infection.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. You should get paranasal sinus x-ray done so as to detect level of infection and treatment can be started accordingly. Avoid use of spicy, sharp oily and fried food substances. You should take combination of antibiotic Levofloxacin along with antihistamine medications. Apply mist humidifiers in room. You should do warm saline rinses 3-4 times a day. You should avoid cold carbonated beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
