Suggest Treatment For Chronic Constipation

Hi, I need an answer pretty much right away. I have been dealing with constipation my whole life, and my doctor has told me to take miralax daily. So I have been, but right now I am dealing with really bad constipation and my chest and stomach are hurting. In the past I ve had to go to the hospital for my constipation, and if I can prevent another hospital trip, I d like too. Anyways, I have taken my miralax earlier today, and I passed a small amount of stool, but not enough to relieve the pain. I have MoM on hand, just in case something like this happened. I was wondering if I would be safe to go ahead and take a dose of MoM? Also, should I eat something before taking it or am I okay to go without?

hello there..i read your query and i will recommend you to avoid over use of milk of magnesia as it is usually used for short term

actually over time,chronic use of MoM Will make the constipation worse.so better avoid

i would recommend you to take liquid paraffin 20ml twice daily and take tab dulcolax 2numbers at night for 3 days.
add fibre to your diet.aim for 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories in your daily diet.slowly increase the fibre consumption to that amount to avoid gas and bloating

second,do physical exercise daily which will increase intestinal movements and thus passage of stools and never resist urge to pass stools.

you can also try lactobacillus tab once daily for a week and probiotics such as yogurt daily in your diet.
