Suggest Treatment For Cellulitis Of Umbilical Hernia

Have a umbillical hernia coming through navel and it is leaking a fluid. Have been to ER and follow to doctors. Said I have cellulitis of hernia, was cautherized and put on Keflex. Was doing too on the Keflex but a couple weeks after taking leakage again from hernia. Want to have this repaired by want infection cleared up.

The discharge indicates that the infection has returned.

Your doctor may want to consider taking a swab of the discharge. This would ensure that the bacteria causing the infection is identified and will also allow the appropriate antibiotics to be chosen.
