Hi,

Noted your short history about burning sensation and sore throat, chronic allergy, near high values of eosinophils last year.
First of all, prevention is better than cure, meaning you have to make a list of the foods, beverages, factors like fumes, dust, smoke that instigate or enhance the allergy causing redness of throat and soreness.
You have to avoid all such things so that you get minimal or no allergy and thus the throat problems will be solved on its own.
Consult an ENT Surgeon to see for the cause and effects that is secondary changes due to allergy like sinusitis.
Go for tests of blood, CT scan of Para nasal sinuses.
Get started on a prescription based medicines as would be advise.
Routine regular check up, change to medicines and doses can help to find the least possible doses of antihistamine and steroid to give you relief.
Hence there are many factors that decide the doses and duration of treatment.
Treatment of the secondary effects is also needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General and ENT Surgeon
