Suggest Treatment For Bruised Calf

Back in mid-june i bruised the calf of my leg, had quite a large bruise for a couple months, bruise has gone away but now i have a hard spot in my calf where the bruise was and it is very sore and slightly red. Last hnight i noticed my foot and ankle were swollen, wondering what could be causing this.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms could be related to local inflammation. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and performing some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, ESR) for inflammation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
