Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have an area on my breast that appears to be a bruise. I bruise so easily I find bruises on my body that the discoloration will not occur for awhile, and I wont even remember bumping into anything. I had stage one INSITU Cancer 2 years ago and had a right breast masectomy. I take tamoxiphen every day, my lymph nodes tested negative and I did not require chemotherapy or radiation. I am not sure, should I be concerned about this apparent bruise?
Of course, you should be concerned because it shows a coagulation problem. You should do a total blood count and platelets count. Also if you are taking any anticoagulants or blood thinners it may be a cause.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka , General & Family Physician
