Suggest Treatment For Blood In Urine

Hi , I m Eugene , today when going to bathroom I experienced a large about of blood in urine ... Later it happened again with much thicker blood near end of emptying of bladder. No pain but enough that I went to my doctor.. he felt I needed to have a urologist check it out and I agree. It may be another week before an appointment. I dislike delaying for to long & haven t any idea what I should do as it continues to be blood when I empty my bladder

Urologist 's  Response
Hello
Thanks for query .You have not mentioned your age in your query .

Painless hematuria is mostly due to one of the following reasons
1) Mass(Tumor) either in kidney or bladder
2) Infection of the bladder .

It needs to be investigated thoroughly by consulting a qualified Urologist..

Please get following basic tests done before you consult your urologist
1) Urine Routine and culture
2) Ultrasound Scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) C.T Scan of abdomen

Urologist will carry out endoscopic Examination of bladder (Cystoscopy).

In the mean while take antibiotics like Ciprofloxacin twice daily with homeostatic agents like Botrophase twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water to prevent clot formation in bladder .

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
