Hello sir, my nose is blocked all the time. I have asthma for the last 10 years and I am taking treatment for the same, but I am unable to open up my blocked nostrils. I practice pranayam at home on a daily basis, but it is getting difficult for me to do the exercise because of blocked nose. Please suggest me.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
from history it seems that your problem of chronic blocking of nostrils might be due to,
Chronic allergy causing blockage of nasal cavity due to edema.
Deviated nasal septum,
Having adenoids in nasal cavity.
Consult ENT surgeon and get examined.
Meanwhile put some decongestant ear drops like Otrivin nasal drops.
Go for tinct benzoine inhalation.
Ok and take care.
