Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dau. 40yrs ,had hot radiator fluid spray onto her face side and side of breast...can see only one small blister on torso. She was washed down with a hose and took a shower. EMT wanted her to go to hosp but since she will see her Dr. tomorrow they sent her home [my home] Is it ok if she sleeps without clothing for the night? Will that help?
As per your query you have blisters on your face due to spray of boiling water from radiator . In this situation layers of skin absorb the heat. Tissue is damaged and cells are destroyed. Liquid leaks from the scalded skin and the body may go into shock trying to replace these fluids. I would suggest you to :-
Clean burned area only with cold water , avoid rubbing of skin to prevent skin damage and cover the affected area with light cloth while sleeping to prevent the skin infection . Consult doctor as soon as possible .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
