Suggest Treatment For Blisters On Eye Lids

I have these reoccurring blister-like eruptions on the upper and lower rims of my eye lids or waterline (I ve heard them referred to). I have a magnifying make-up mirror which helps me see them. I m a 59 yr old female. They really irritate the actual eyeball and cause them to be bloodshot. I m fairly sure they are not styes. I ve used warm compresses but they contunue.

Hi,

You might be suffering from recurrent herpes infection, although it is very unusual site but still these cases have been reported abundantly in Literature. Infection of apocrine gland of eyelid can also mimic like blister and if they become secondary infected, they can cause bleeding too.

Herpes infection is treated with oral antiviral while infection of apocrine gland is treated with oral antibiotics.
