Suggest Treatment For Bad Odor Whitish Vaginal Discharge

I have been having a strong odor that I thought was coming from my vaginal area. I always have had a white discharge and it has been checked. No itching so I didn t think it was yeast. I always wash and throughly dry the folds of my stomach and groiin. This morning I was checking again why the smell was so strong. I checked the folds of my groin because they get red and I put anti fungal cream and it s gone in a few days. This morning on one side as soon as I moved my leg to look, a horrible odor emerged. My left side is very raw looking on both sides of my groin area and it seems to be oozing. I washed and dreid throughly and put antibiotic cream. I had intened to see my DR. Monday but this looked raw red and ozzing so it really scared me. Sorry my keyboard is messed up. Sorry for typos

Hello,

Keep the vagina clean by washing regularly with mild soap & warm water. You are suffering from Trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by a parasite that causes foul-smelling vaginal discharge.

Get physically examined get all STD tests(cell cultures, antigen tests, etc) done. In the meantime abstain from sex to reduce the severity of risk, use condoms & go for protected sex after a couple of days when you get treated.

In the meantime you can take antibiotics like Tinidazole, Metronidazole(Flagyl), antifungal medications(fluconazole), you can also use topical antifungal creams for local application.

Keep the vagina dry & clean, wear cotton clothes, avoid using scented soaps or douches.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Hello,

The symptoms are more consistent with infective causes like yeast or bacterial vaginosis. Consult a gynaecologist and plan for a vaginal swab to confirm the diagnosis.

Clean the genitals with soap and water. You can also use clotrimazole lotion to cleanse your genitals. Nothing much to worry as the conditions will respond well to antibiotics like Metrogyl (Flagyl).

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
