Suggest Treatment For Anxiety Disorder

Im 24 year old Male, and for a few months have been suffering from anxiety. Along with anxiety I notice my hands and feet are often cold, I often have cottonmouth, and am easily annoyed by noises such as clipping of fingernails, and snapping of fingers. In the last week or so my anxiety has been worse than normal, I have had diarrhea for about 7 days now also. Worse I have been depressed now for a few days really badly, a feeling I have never experienced before. The only way I could describe it is feeling "homesick" even though I am home and around loved ones. I am somewhat opposed to medication unless I really need it. My question is should I approach this situation as a physical or mental illness. Are there common physical illnesses associated with my described symptoms? What should I do?

Dear
Welcome to HCM
We understand your concerns

I went through your details. Being annoyed by noises such as clipping of fingernails, and snapping of fingers are so common and those do not come under symptoms of anxiety. You are already sure that you are suffering from anxiety but you still want expert opinion. Please understand your anxiety need to be assessed and diagnosed properly before venturing into any treatment option. In my opinion, please consult a psychologist and get yourself assessed for anxiety.
