Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i have a question. I've been having these odd anxiety attacks lately. I use to never have them. And I'm a frequent weed smoker (Like everyday). But ever since sunday when I woke up and smoked. it just wasn't the same, that day was justed filled will panic attacks and anxiety. And I haven't looked at anything the same and I've been kind of depressed.
I think you were not aware that cannabis is well known to cause anxiety and panic disorder. It worsens the disease in those who already have it before starting cannabis. It can also cause psychosis. If you can remain abstinent for a few weeks, you will notice that your anxiety has diminished. Relaxation exercises will also help. If you continue to smoke, there will no option other than having to start medicines for anxiety.
Best wishes.
