Suggest Treatment For Anxiety Attacks

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here... My 17 year old niece is experiencing what some call anxiety attacks. She is a basketball player and has played ball for many years. Now all of a sudden she gets the attacks where she cannot even get on the basketball court as she is crying/sobbing and cannot breath.

Dear User,
Going by your description, I would first think of the possibility of Panic disorder. If I were to treat a patient with Panic disorder, I would start an anti-anxiety medication like Tab. Paroxetine upto 25 mg/day and ask them to see me after 3 weeks.
