Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

Acne can affect the face as well as shoulders, chest and back as all these areas are rich in sebaceous glands.
The treatment you are on is quite good but probably not apt for the severity of you acne.
While oral Minocycline is an effective oral antibiotic for acne, it may take 2-4 weeks for full control of acne activity.
In my view, adding a topical Retinoid e.g Adapalene at night would be further beneficial. Retinoids are anti-inflammatory, comedolytic and therefore also prevent new acne formation.
Another option is to replace clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide for better control of acne activity.
Finally, I would like to mention about oral retinoids. Oral Retinoids (Isotretinoin) are the most effective antiacne agents available.
Retinoids are indicated in moderate to severe grade of acne and in acne that is not responding adequately to traditional antiacne medications.
I would suggest that you see another appointment with your dermatologist. Your dermatologist after evaluating the severity of acne and response to previous treatment would make the desired changes like adding a topical retinoid Or replacing clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide Or may start you on Oral retinoids.

Regards
