Suggest Treatment For Acne After Undergoing Hysterectomy

I am a 33 year old female s/p hysterectomy1 year ago w/ acne problems for the last 6 m/o s. I still have my ovaries and never had problems with my hormone levels in the past. How should I go about treatment should I ask my gyne or my internist and is this very common for women?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Hormonal imbalances are indeed very common in women, and it would be wise to consult your gynaecologist for further evaluation and not an internist. I would recommend a check on hormone levels and also the use of clindamycin topical ointment on the acne affected regions.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
