Suggest Treatment For Abdominal Pain After Taking MT-PILL For Abortion
Dear doctor, my wife last period was on 25 march and upto 31 may she didnt get periods, i tested thru test card pregnancy was confirmed. I gave an MT-PILL on 31st may bt no result. Today again i gave MT-PILL and MISOPROST 200 she took at a time it in a gap of 3 mins, after 20 mins bleeding started heavily. Nw she is suffering frm severe pain. Am afraid. Plz suggest. Her age is 23.
MT pill (Mifepristone) is to be followed by Misoprostol for medical termination of pregnancy. Your wife have taken them and it seems she is in the process of abortion.
Both these medicines contract the uterus severely so that the products of conception are expelled out of the uterus to effect the abortion. Uterine contraction causes pain in the lower abdomen. In fact the uterine contractions along with effecting abortion help to reduce the bleeding. You should not have 'husband's distress'. If this pain is unbearable, she may take some antispasmodic/analgesic medicines like Meftal spas, with the advice of Gynaecologist.
I hope this convinces and guides you appropriately.
