Suggest Treatment For A Painful Red Rash On The Chest

Hi. I am a 54 year old female. I have a rash on my chest. It is red and blotchy and spreading. It does not itch, but has a burning sensation. Heat seems to make it worse. I have tried Cortaid cream but it doesn t help. I had a shingles vaccine in August of 2012. I feel fine, just the rash.

Dear

There could be various reasons for the rash that you described. Is it flaky and has a ring shape? In all probability, it seems to be ring worm infection which gets temporarily suppressed due to applied medication. Can you please attach pic of the rash in your next communication. In the meantime just stop the medication and keep the area dry. Please let me know if you are a diabetic. Apply some cold cream instead. Knowing what it is more important than suppressing it otherwise it can lead to complications. Take some anti allergic which will help you control the symptoms without masking the true diagnosis.I am sure you will be greatly helped and your problem can be addressed as we get to know more information. have a good time.
