Suggest Treatment For A Lump In The Breast

hello, im 15, there ia a history of breast cancer in my family, and i just did a self-breast exam, i found a lump, my breasts are really sore especially when touched, and my nipple has changed to a bright pink colour, the nipple. change and lump is only in my left breast however the pain is in both, i didnt want to go the doctors about it incase because of my age they dont take it seriously, i know its very rare people of my age range get breast cancer, so i was jst wondering your view on it, is it possible i have breast cancer??

Hi

Since you are very young the chances of breast cancer is only 25%.
But since you are having a lump in your left breast and they are sore and nipple has changed to a bright pink color, I would advise you to do a bilateral ultrasonography of the breasts.
If any lump in found in the USG then biopsy test needs to be done to rule out cancer. A biopsy test is a simple test were a needle is inserted to take some specimen from the lump to be studied under microscope.
I would also advise you to do a blood test for breast cancer tumor marker CA 15-3, CA 27-29 and carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA).
