Suggest Treatment For SPD During Pregnancy

Hi there im 22 years old and 5 months pregnant with my second child. Im currently suffering with spd and getting no help with my current doctors. They have diagnosed me with this, as i suffered it in my first pregnancy. This time round it is alot more painful for me and im in more pain doing every day things the further the pregnancy goes on. Is there anything i can do that will help my situation as my first is nearly 2 years old i still have to help her alot (lifting, washing etc) ??

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

I read your query carefully.
I would advise you following:
1)Avoid strenuous exercise, prolonged standing, vacuum cleaning, stretching exercises and squatting.
2)Do pelvic floor and tummy exercises.
3)Rest regularly by sitting on a birth ball or by getting down on your hands and knees. This takes the weight of your baby off your pelvis and holds it in a stable position.
4)Try not to do heavy lifting or pushing.
5)When climbing stairs, take one step at a time. Step up onto one step with your best leg and then bring your other leg to meet it.
6)Take care when getting in and out of the bed and as well as car.Place a pillow between the legs when in bed or resting.
7)If the pain is very severe, using elbow crutches will help take the weight off the pelvis and assist with mobility.
In your case only these above mentioned things will help you a little.
> And regarding painkiller only paracetamol 1000mg you can take. But not more than 3 times.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
