Suggest Treatment For PCOD Condition

madam, I have PCOD problem. I took ovulation tablet on 23rd august 2011and I got my period on 27th sep. Doctor advised me to take Yasmin, Productive-F and Ovygyn-D for three months . .Shall I take Ovygyn-D tablet alone for one month and wait for the next cycle before taking these medicines.

Hi,
Since you have been diagnosed with PCOD, it would be a better idea to go ahead with the prescribed medication in toto. Since your doctor has prescribed you contraceptive pills, minerals and essential amino acids, and DHEA, please do not club these with medication to induce ovulation, which was prescribed earlier. Also, management of weight, regular exercise and a healthy diet go a long way into return of ovulation in the treatment of PCOD. Hope you find this information useful. Take care.
